The Department of Computer Applications of Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GNIMT), Model Town, Ludhiana organized WARTECH 2022, an annual series of competitions to catch on the potential designers, and logical thinkers on its campus. The day- the long competition was held under the aegis of GNIMT IT Club for all students of BCA, BBA and B.Com. Honors today. Inter-class competitions were held for Mobile Gaming, Mental Ability Test, Presentations, and design competitions, namely Logo Design, Digi-Collage, and Social Media Post Design. The theme of all computer-based design events was to mark the 115th birth anniversary of Martyr Bhagat Singh. Arshpreet Singh of BCA first semester, Kesar Kaushal of BBA first semester, Manjot Kaur of BCA fifth semester, Nikhil Sharma of BBA fifth semester, Gurleen of BCA fifth semester, and Jasnoor of BBA first semester won the Logo design, Mental Ability Test, Digi-Collage, PowerPoint Presentation, Social Media Post design, and Mobile Gaming respectively followed by Gagandeep Singh, Harsh Rawat, Rithik Gupta, Gurleen Kaur, Kulwinder Singh, Manya Taneja, Divjot Singh, Anmol Sukhija, Jashan, Rajbir, Krish Dutta, Manjot Chawla, Sahil Chhabra, Harmeet Singh, Sanpreet Singh, Ramandeep and Rohan Singh Negi. Dr. Sandhya Mehta, Principal, GNIMT was delighted to see the excitement of students and remarked that students should come out of their cocoons and, always yearn to compete. The sense of competition should then be inculcated with enhanced preparedness through focused learning and practice. Besides the technical skills, students need to groom their soft skills also. She also shared that participation is more important than winning or losing. She congratulated the winners and motivated the participants in such events with great zeal and enthusiasm.
